An ULTRA SECURE alternative email solution (a CODEX)
for private citizens who find existing email is insecure or unreliable
Secure enough to address the needs of even Targeted Individuals or groups suffering a variety
of mysterious email assaults: delays, alterations, vanishings, snooping, denial of service, etc.
The PROBLEM: Traditional email as provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) no longer remains secure from assault the way it used to be - there have been too many advances in snoops, hacks, and virus attacks by Web pirates, not to mention vast sweeps of email traffic by untold government agencies (with and without a warrant or just cause), military, military contractors and other firms, and organizations (illegally). These concerns remain by and large valid for Webmail email accounts as well (free email accounts such as MSN, Yahoo, Gmail, etc., are called 'Webmail' accounts). Further, traditional email methods suffer certain limitations which sometimes create the illusion of a security issue or which represent a serious impediment to sound communications, such as failures to reach the intended party, or failures in delivery confirmation or failed delivery notification. Here are some examples of the kinds of problems which a NeVir Spies! Codex solution addresses to improve both the security and reliability of your email:
* Failed delivery or confirmation notices
* Denial of service attacks to include blacklisting
* External monitoring of email streams
* Spam attacks (can result in Website hijacking)
Note: learn more about Web site hijacking methods here.
* Virus attacks delivered via email
* Internet Service Provider server hack/virus attacks
* Loose copies of emails within the Web infrastructure
* The old 'did not get it/read it' excuse (ambiguous communications)
* Concerns about what others may have done with the email once they have it
* Snooping of email by covert access to unprotected computer at either end

Above is a graphic representation of the primary reason regular email remains at risk: When using traditional SMTP/POP3/IMAP4 email (what your ISP uses to handle your email) accounts, your mail is typically routed to a half-dozen or more random servers (each relay is called a 'hop') from among many tens of thousands of such servers on the Internet. In fact, it may be routed along multiple hop paths simultaneously in an effort to bypass roadblocks due to technical glitches experienced in a given path. Each hop has its own implied but unquantifiable risk of being monitored, hacked, attacked independently by a virus, or of eating email.
To see just how significant the matter of hops can be, simply set your email preferences to show 'Long Headers' and examine a few of your problematic emails. This will show you exactly how many and to which random servers your email was routed by the Internet. Sometimes, buried within this (visually and technically confusing) information, the Web tech savvey may be able to detect a common government or other snoop's intermediate hop where any manner of tampering or snooping may be taking place. Of course, this only lists the hops involved in sucessful email transmission, and does not reflect any alternate attempted path hops which did not result in success. A snoop server can mask its presence by deliberately dead ending the path.
Some of these concerns can be somewhat reduced by use of Webmail, but not eliminated. In fact, some Webmail service providers have questionable business relationships with parties interested in both mass and TI targeting/snooping. Some of these relationships are commercial in nature (i.e., spam related), but others can be tied to CIA or other intelligence agency fronts. Of course, such firms can just as easily target conventional email, and are not limited to Webmail piracy. This is troublesome because there are CIA fronts currently marketing to anyone in the US and (a sister firm) in Europe who can afford it, a massive compilation of information on "98% of all US Citizens," per their literature. This has been exposed in The Proparanoid Newsletter as well as H. Michael Sweeney's book, The Professional Paranoid Defensive Field Guide.
Blacklisting can also take place along the path where a given server 'does not like' your ISP or your specific computer, typically due to someone targeting you or your ISP as a 'spammer' or other abuser of the internet (e.g., kiddie porn or other charges). Unless you are Web-tech savvey, is almost impossible to know if you are blacklisted or on what basis, but it happens all too frequently, easily a dirty trick tactic designed to deny you service as part of targeting efforts. A covert snoop server will sometimes route you to a Blacklist for dead ending. All of the above is unconscionable, of course, but Mr. Sweeney sees it happen day in, day out, with his clients, and even his own regular email (solved with NeVir Spies!, naturally).
Futher, messages remain on the typical server for up to 30 days or more where it remains vulnerable to snoops, worms and other hacks or virus attacks. Delivery and confirmation notices are at best spotty as they are likewise subject to the same problems for the same reasons. It is also important to note that many servers have message size limitations of anywhere from 5 mb or less to perhaps 15 mb at most, which can account for some email problems along the way. These are often suspected security issues in that they have the same experiencial impact, but in reality, it is merely a technical limitation and message handling problem with a server. You are inconvenienced and worried non the less, again a matter easily resolved with NeVir Spies!
The NeVir Spies! Codex Solutions and how they came about: Author H. Michael Sweeney is an acknowledged expert (bio and bona fides available here) on personal privacy and security concerns with three books on topic (The Professional Paranoid series), as well as four more books which touch upon these matters within the context of crimes of the intelligence community and abuse of power (the Fatal Rebirth bookset). Because of personal email security problems over the years as a TI (Targeted Individual) himself (think Will Smith Enemy of the State, perhaps on a smaller scale), Mr. Sweeney not only wrote these books but also, he offeres free and for fee on-line consulting and for fee direct intervention services to persons and groups who are themselves being targeted. Part and parcel of such targeting is almost always some form of email security violation, and in point of fact, it is often one of the warning signs that a person is being targeted (which may include investigation by a legitimate agency either for legitimate or illegitimate reasons, legal or illegal in nature).
Part of Mr. Sweeney's targeting did involve illegal interception of and tampering with his own private email between himself and his editor, typically resulting in willful sabotage of content and delays in getting his books into print. Thus by first hand knowledge of the problem he and many of his clients faced with respect to email security, he was keenly aware of how it impacted on the quality and usefulness of email communication. Confidentiality of email between consultant and client are a primary requirement when discussing matters of personal security and privacy, after all. As result, Mr. Sweeney and ProparanoidPress, the publishing firm started by Mr. Sweeney, have long sought a solution.
Together, they have formed a partnership with a privately held Canadian software firm to develop NeVir Spies!, a TOTAL email solution based on the same kind of technology normally applied by major corporations and government agencies, which is described as a VPN (Virtual Private Network). By sending email in a VPN construct, the email itself is 'virtual,' which in a way means 'your email does not exist,' and as such it cannot therefor be found and snooped. That is essentially correct, in that your email never exists on your computer (it resides on the NeVir Spies! server); never exists as an email data stream when it is sent (it cannot be detected by snoops and hacks looking for email, can't be recognized as email by snoops and hacks looking at general https Web transactions because they are not designed to look for or see it); and it does not exist on the intermediate server hops (at least not for more than a few seconds).
Unlike a traditional VPN, however, instead of being limited to employees within a firm or agency, it is available to citizens at large who have concerns about their own privacy and the security of their email. Normally, a VPN resides almost entirely 'in house' and serves only those working within the buildings or sites controled by the firm/agency. However, NeVir Spies! has come up with a way to bypass this traditional limitation and create a Virtual Private Email Nework (VPEN) available to anyone at large, just like any other email subscription service through an ISP, while at the same time, offering unique new services and capabilities uncommon to traditional email. For example, with NeVir Spies you can...
* Eliminates failed delivery or confirmation notices - failed delivery is essentially impossible
* Eliminates blacklisting and other denial of service attacks
* Eliminates external monitoring of email streams
* Eliminates 100% of spam
* Eliminates virus attacks delivered via email

Above is the simplified NeVir Spies! graphic model featuring the NeVir Spies! server in the middle. Instead of standard low-level encryption, the NeVir Spies Codex solution relies upon advanced state-of-the-art 128-bit encryption. Instead of randomly using traditional email servers, it relies upon dedicated https (s for secure - as normally used in financial transactions only between trusted clients). Instead of multiple paths with multiple hops, it has a simplified and more direct single path to destination, which is a single NeVir Spies! server accessed by all clients (as few as 2-3 hops). Instead of messages residing for a month or more on each of the servers along the way, it is gone within a matter of seconds, there only long enough for the transfer (hence, 'Virtual' email). These features effectively render server side snoops and hacks useless.
In fact, the email never even resides on either the sender nor the recipient's computer in the normal sense, and thus, cannot be compromised by snoops who may gain access to an unprotected computer (again, the Virtual aspect) at either end. And there is more. Instead of being prone to missed delivery or failed delivery advice, there is no need for such advice: the mail always gets through, and with additional security and confirmation features as described above in the bulleted list. Instead of bumping into a file/message size limitation and causing failed messages, it has no file/message size restriction whatsoever, and this enables audio and video messaging.
And, for US customers concerned about illegal surveillance by government agencies, there is a Canadian based server, while Canadian customers with such fears can elect a US based server. A government agency may have the right to issue a warrant, but you have the right to choose where you will haven your email, and if it is not in the same country, the warrant has little value and cannot be served upon anyone but you (extremely rare).
Note: ProparanoidPress and NeVir Spies will NOT honor any such warrant, PERIOD
(as it would have no legal basis), and if we are approached with such a warrant,
we will notify all concerned parties of any such attempt and identify the agency
and names of agents involved, as well as file public and formal protests with said
agency. We are that serious about your privacy!!!
Truly Affordable, a basic NeVir Spies! Codex option costs just a little more than most traditional Internet Service Providers charge for Web access (we do not provide such access, just secure email). The actual price starts as low as $44 and varies depending on options elected, which can reflect additional savings and are generally subject to consultation to insure the Codex elected meets the user's needs. Additionally, each user will, in order to maximize their benefit, want to include persons they need to communicate with in a secure manner on a regular basis in the NeVir Spies! network. Therefore, for each additional person a given client brings to the network, they will be entitled to a discount on their own services.
Targeted individuals will note that virtually all existing NeVir Spies! clients will also make excellent personal contact resources, a matter which significantly amplifies everyone's support base. When combined with the right Codex options which further involve direct or group consultations with Mr. Sweeney, the value of any such networking resources are magnified yet again: a community of TIs sharing information about problems and solutions, and providing mutual emotional and practical support. Every NeVir Spies! Codex includes some version of such support! So important is this notion to the TI, that all clients will be given special discounts on NeVir Spies! Codex options. Thus, if a TI, please make sure that fact is known to Mr. Sweeney before you elect to participate either as a client or as a NeVir Spies! Codex user. That way, the best possible choice and savings can be insured.
To learn more about NeVir Spies! and to get a price quote and some freebies (described below), please contact H. Michael Sweeney and express your interest.
